Canada MedLaser Toronto is showcasing a special treatment called CoolSculpting, which removes fat in hard to shift places and will help people transform their bodies.
CoolSculpting is an FDA approved treatment that uses a special patented technology to freeze fat before it is removed from the body naturally.
A spokesperson for Canada MedLaser Toronto said: “CoolSculpting is a non-invasive treatment that has been embraced by men and women due to how quick and easy it is to administer, and the amazing results they experience.
“When fat is frozen the cells crystalize, reduce in size and die. The body then removes them from the treated area as waste. Over time this reduces the amount of fat cells in the specific area, which helps to reshape and contour the body.
“This technology was actually created after a pair of scientists at Harvard University noticed that some children got dimples when they ate popsicles. They took the same concept and applied it to fat in targeted areas.
“It is a very safe procedure that targets fat just under the skin. Many people think that when they put on weight they are increasing the fat in their body. They are not actually increasing the number of fat cells, the fat cells they have increase in size. So if you remove fat cells from the body through a treatment like CoolSculpting, the fat cells will be gone for good.
“Unlike treatments like liposuction, the procedure is non-invasive. The clinician marks the area that will be treated on the patient’s body and then positions the CoolSculpting handpiece on the area. Some patients report some pressure and discomfort at first, but it is not a painful procedure. The area that is treated will become totally numb. The treatment takes about an hour. Once the site has been treated with the specialist CoolSculpting machine, the area is then massaged for around two minutes to help mobilize the dead fat cells and speed up their removal from the body.
“This treatment is so non-invasive that many patients will read a book, work on their laptops or even take a nap while the treatment is being administered.
“The important thing for people to remember is that this is not to help people lose weight. This is to help people who have nearly reached their weightloss targets to get rid of some of those fat bulging areas that notoriously don’t improve through diet and exercise – like the inside thighs, back, upper arms and bottom area,” he added.
